Welcome to SGI.FlatRock.

This site is dedicated to Silicon Graphics hardware and the IRIX operating system, and especialy aimed at the sole purpose of 'how do I get the most out of my system?' For lately more and more of the a bit older SGI systems tend to hit the hobbyist market for affordable prices. Tons of precious Indy 'pizzaboxes' and Octane 'powerhouses' have found a new home away from the large expensive corporate offices. And some lucky people even got their hands on the bigger and more powerful SGI supercomputers floating around there. The Onyx or Origin series for example. For all those people, there's tons of handy information to be found here. Enjoy!

[2005-09-15] The NekoWare software download section now only shows the current files. A spot for old versions will be added in the near future. [2005-09-09] After a severe harddrive crash, and some extensive downtime, the system is now fully upgraded with 18 new 73gig harddrives and back online.
